About

My name is Joel Spadin. I am an electrical engineering student, self-taught programmer, musician, composer, and whatever else I want to be. I play piano, flute, and Electronic Wind Instrument. I like carrots, especially when they're involved in cake. I like seals too... but not in cake.

This site looks best in a browser that supports my gleeful over-use of border-radius. It looks quite nice in Firefox, Chrome, and Safari, and even better in Opera 10.5. I haven't tested any other browsers, but I use 100% valid HTML, so they should work fine too. On Internet Explorer and Opera < 10.5, well, I hope you like boxes, because that's all you're getting.

  • This theme is based on the 3Grey theme by SkinPress. I liked the design, but it uses too many fixed-width images, so I couldn't stretch, reorder, and hack the pieces of it around like I wanted. Instead, I took the default Kubrick theme by Michael Heilemann and used some of the 3Grey theme images, CSS, and a whole lot of border-radius to make a more flexible theme that looks very similar to SkinPress's theme. Note to Microsoft: implement border-radius already. Oh, and most of CSS3 would be nice too.
